Chinese computing brand Lenovo added two new high-end laptops to its Yoga lineup: Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon and Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro. Both new laptops will come with Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system out of the box. According to Lenovo, these machines feature a slim and lightweight build without compromising on durability. The Lenovo Yoga Slim Carbon features a brilliant OLED screen with QHD+ resolution and Dolby Vision. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro features an Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU to offer some gaming chops. Both laptops use AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series processors and feature high-refresh-rate screens.

This 14-inch panel has a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. With brightness peaking at around 400 nits, the screen supports Dolby Vision HDR. It even features a 90Hz refresh rate and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. As per the press release, this panel is factory calibrated with colour accuracy of DeltaE <2. Lenovo lets you opt for an optional touchscreen feature.
The Yoga Slim 7 Carbon can be configured with up to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800U processor. In terms of GPU, you have the option of choosing up to Nvidia GeForce MX450 graphics card. The laptop’s RAM maxes out at 16GB dual-channel LPDDR4x. To hold your media collection, the Slim 7 Carbon can be equipped with 1TB SSD. On the connectivity front, Lenovo covers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Other features include three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, a headphone jack, and an onboard quad-speaker setup.
The laptop draws power from a 61Whr battery with support for fast charging. According to the company, 15 minutes of charge is enough to power the laptop for up to three hours. On a full charge, the Yoga Slim 7 Carbon can work for 14.5 hours. The laptop tips the scales at 1.1kg and is 15mm thick. To ensure reliability, this laptop adheres to MIL-STD-810H standards.

The Yoga Slim 7 Pro packs in more muscle with its Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. It is paired with up to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor. The Slim 7 Pro comes with a maximum of 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD.
Compared to the Yoga Slim 7 Carbon, the Slim 7 Pro features a larger 16-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with 2.5K resolution. The panel has a peak brightness of 500 nits and is compatible with Dolby Vision HDR. Lenovo offers an optional 120Hz refresh rate upgrade.
The laptop offers an IR camera that supports Windows Hello authentication. Moreover, you get Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, an SD card slot, an HDMI port, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, and a headphone jack. The Yoga Slim 7 Pro also features noise cancellation to get rid of ambient sounds during video calls.
The notebooks packs in a 75Whr battery with rapid charge technology. As per Lenovo, the Yoga Slim 7 Pro lasts up to 12.6 hours on a single charge. The machine weighs in at around 2.1kg and is roughly 17.4mm thick.

For some reason, Lenovo’s Yoga Slim 7 Carbon will be marketed as the IdeaPad Slim Carbon in the US. Expected to hit the stores next month, the price of this laptop starts at $1,290, which roughly translates to ₹94,800.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro will be dubbed the IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro in the US. It will be pegged at a base price of $1,449 (approx. ₹1,06,600).
