LG has taken the wraps off its new 32-inch computer monitor intended for photography and video professionals. Dubbed UltraFine Display OLED Pro Monitor (32EP950-B), it promises to combine the goodness of OLED tech with ease of connectivity. As you would expect from any professional-grade monitor, this one comes with an adjustable stand with control over height, tilt, and pivot. Should you choose to set it up on a wall, the panel has VESA 100 x 100 mount support.

The 10-bit panel is tuned for a 60Hz refresh rate. It covers a wide colour gamut that (99% DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB). According to LG, the display comes calibrated from the factory floor. It boasts of DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification. Plus, there’s an onboard sensor that measures light to maintain display accuracy. The panel has a 178-degree viewing angle and is treated with an anti-glare coating.
Unlike an LCD that requires backlighting, an OLED screen is self-illuminating. Each pixel in an OLED panel produces its own light and can be dimmed individually to achieve impressive contrast. It is the kind of display that editors use to colour grade movies and TV shows. In terms of connectivity, the monitor comes with a USB Type-C port, two Display Ports, three full-sized USB 3.0 connectors, an HDMI out, and a 3.5mm headphones jack.

The quality panel from LG doesn’t come cheap. The LG Ultrafine OLED Pro Monitor’s price is $4,000 (around ₹3,00,000) and is available for purchase in the US starting today. The monitor is yet to reach the Indian shores. However, you can check out LG’s 48-inch 4K 48CXPTA panel that costs around ₹1,30,000.
