Microsoft has been pulling off one good thing after the other when it comes to its Xbox ecosystem. The Xbox Game Pass has, on a monthly basis, been introducing lucrative titles and the brand has also doubled down on backward compatibility with Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, which allows players to enjoy Xbox One, Xbox 360, and even original Xbox titles on the latest consoles. Adding to all this, Microsoft has also introduced a performance upgrade to its existing titles through a feature called FPS Boost.
FPS Boost essentially doubles the framerate of the compatible games, thereby enhancing the gameplay experience and offering smooth visuals. In this article, we have created a list of all games that support the FPS Boost feature. Before looking at that list, let us understand what is Xbox FPS Boost and how it works.
What is Xbox FPS Boost?
Microsoft introduced the FPS Boost feature with the launch of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. FPS Boost enhances the performance of backwards-compatible titles automatically and upgrades previously locked framerates. For instance, if a title was designed to offer 30FPS (Frames Per Second) on previous-generation Xbox consoles, FPS Boost forces it to run at 60FPS or even 120FPS on the latest generation Xbox consoles without a need for the developer to make changes to the code.
Some Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S games support 120FPS gameplay natively for buttery smooth visuals, extremely responsive gaming experience, and lower input lag. The same would not have been possible for older games without the FPS Boost feature. Now, take a look at the list of games that support Microsoft’s FPS Boost feature.
