Apple has released a new software update for its MagSafe Battery Pack which will allow users to charge their iPhones faster than before. The Apple MagSafe Battery Pack is designed to quickly and safely wirelessly charge iPhone models with MagSafe, giving users more time to use their devices. With the latest update, the MagSafe Battery Pack will offer 7.5W charging on the go, compared to 5W before the update.
If you want to find your current firmware version of the MagSafe Battery Pack, head to your iPhone Settings > General > About > MagSafe Battery Pack. Let’s take a closer look at the latest update and find out how to install it.
Apple MagSafe Battery Pack Can Now Charge Your iPhone Faster
The new version 2.7 firmware update for the MagSafe Battery Pack will allow users to charge their iPhones faster. In order to get 7.5W charging on the go, you should update your device to the latest firmware. The update begins automatically after you attach your battery pack to your iPhone. It can take about one week for your MagSafe Battery Pack to get the latest firmware update.

However, if you want to install the update faster, there is another alternative. You can update the firmware using a Mac or iPad. Simply plug one end of a Lightning to USB cable into the Lightning connector on your battery pack, and the other end into your Mac or iPad. The firmware update will take about five minutes to install.
The MagSafe Battery Pack was released back in July 2021. It is a good choice for users who want to charge their iPhone devices on the go. However, its short battery life has always been the biggest complaint about the device. The latest update to the MagSafe Battery Pack seems to have resolved that.
