Microsoft had introduced the Xbox Game Pass game subscription service for PC gamers a couple of years ago, intending to provide affordable gaming to the masses. For a monthly fee of just ₹489, you can play more than 100 high-quality gaming titles. Also, it lets you play top EA (Electronic Arts) games titles and offers exclusive rewards. Now, the tech giant is bringing some changes to its Xbox app for the PC, to make it more intuitive and refined for playing Xbox and Xbox Game Pass games.
Microsoft will finally permit PC users to install games from the Microsoft Store or the Xbox app to the storage drives of their choice. PC gamers can now access folders that were strictly barred earlier. The company will even allow them to be modded. It will also give the ability to the users to move games to any folders or drives as per their requirement. This would resolve the major issues associated with gaming on the PC via the Microsoft Store or the Xbox app. The company is also promising faster download speeds than earlier.

Microsoft will also optimise games to run efficiently on Windows 11. There will be a separate section for Microsoft’s cloud gaming service. Xbox Insiders will get an opportunity to test the cloud gaming service on the PC. Interested users can sign up for the program and check what these updates have to offer before it is rolled out for the general audience a few weeks later.
