Motorola Edge 30 Design, Specifications Leaked

Motorola is now the third-largest smartphone maker in the US. It is also doing well in the European, South American and Indian markets. To capitalise on it further, the Lenovo-backed company is churning out new smartphones at a rapid pace. Now, it is gearing up to launch a new smartphone, the Motorola Edge 30, which will be slotted below the already available Motorola Edge 30 Pro. 

Popular leakster Evan Blass has shared the leaked images and some specifications via 91mobiles, that give us a fair idea of what this smartphone would bring to the table. Let’s have a look at its design and leaked specs. 

Motorola Edge 30: Design, Specification (Leaked)

Last month, Motorola’s roadmap for 2022 was leaked, which revealed the company’s plans to release the “Frontier” device, which could be named the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, with a massive 200MP camera. The Motorola Edge 30, codenamed Dubai, was also one of the handsets on that list.

Going by the images, the Motorola Edge 30 carries a familiar design as other Motorola devices of recent times. It gets a flat panel at the front and a centrally placed punch-hole camera cutout. There are minimum and uniform bezels surrounding the screen. At the rear, there’s a vertical camera island that houses the triple camera setup. The Motorola logo sits proudly at the centre.

The Motorola Edge 30 is expected to come with a 6.55-inch 2.5D curved pOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz screen refresh rate. According to the leaks, it will be powered by an upper mid-range chipset by Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 778G, which is an octa-core CPU built on TSMC’s 6nm fabrication process. It comes with 5G network support and can handle 60fps gaming in PUBG/BGMI and Call of Duty with ease. It will be equipped with 6GB or 8GB RAM coupled with 128GB or 256GB internal storage.  

In terms of cameras, it might come with a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfie aficionados, it might come with a 32MP selfie shooter. The Motorola Edge 30 will come with a splash or water resistance feature. It will be powered by a 4,020mAh battery coupled with 33-watt fast charging support.
