Motorola is gearing up to launch the successor to its Moto G51 5G which was launched at the end of 2021. According to 91mobiles, the Moto G52 smartphone is ready to hit the production line. The overall design is similar to the Moto G51 5G. In terms of features, it has lost a few and gained some. By the looks of it, Motorola might sell it alongside the Moto G51 5G in the market.
Let’s have a look at its rumoured specifications and how it stacks up against the Moto G51 5G.
Motorola Moto G52: Rumoured Specifications
The Motorola Moto G52 carries the same design language as the Moto G51 5G. It will come with a polycarbonate build and will be IP52 certified for dust/water resistance. The major change in the Moto G52 is its 6.55-inch P-OLED display with a 90Hz screen refresh rate. In comparison, the Moto G51 5G comes with a larger 6.8-inch but an IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smaller screen size must have reduced the overall footprint of the Moto G52, making it more comfortable to handle. Also, the addition of an OLED display would enhance the video watching experience. The display comes with a centrally placed punch-hole camera cutout.
Motorola is targeting users who are content with a 4G network and don’t require 5G connectivity. While the older Moto G51 comes with a 5G-capable Snapdragon 480+ chipset, the upcoming Moto G52 comes with a 4G Snapdragon 680 processor. It is an octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 610 GPU and is built on a more efficient 6nm process, as opposed to the 8nm process of the Snapdragon 480+.

The ancillary cameras too remain the same, which are the 8MP ultra-wide shooter and the 2MP depth sensor. Selfie duties will be handled by the 16MP snapper housed in the punch-hole display at the front.
The Moto G52 will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery under its hood and may get 20-watt quick charging support. It will come with stereo speakers, which, combined with the vibrant OLED display, should provide an immersive audio-video experience.
The Motorola Moto G51 5G retails for around ₹15,000 in India. If priced around ₹14000, the Moto G52 can offer stiff competition to other Snapdragon 680 powered smartphones such as the Redmi Note 11.
