Dell has announced the XPS 13 2-in-1 with a reversible hinge for an XPS Folio keyboard case. The case magnetically latches on to the device, thus converting it into a laptop. The 2-in-1 is powered by Intel’s latest 12th Gen Core processors.
Let’s check out the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 price, specifications, and features.
Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 Features, Specifications
The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 sports a 13-inch display with an aspect ratio of 3:2, with a resolution of 2,880×1,920 pixels. Dell claims that the device supports up to 500 nits of brightness, 100 percent sRGB coverage, and a contrast ratio of 1,800:1. Additionally, the screen is reportedly anti-reflective and anti-smudge. It uses Gorilla Glass 7 for protection.
The XPS 13 2-in-1 is powered by Intel’s latest 12th Gen Core processors. You’ll get two options to choose from—i5-1230U or the i7-1250U. The device supports up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1GB of PCIe 4 SSD storage.
The 2022 model of the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 gets a massive design overhaul when compared to its 2020 model. The new XPS 13 2-in-1 gets an XPS Folio keyboard case instead of the hinge sported by its predecessor. The magnetic XPS Folio can prop the device at the following angles—100 degrees, 112.5 degrees, and 125 degrees.
In addition, the company sells an XPS Stylus separately. It connects at the top of the device to charge. Dell claims that it should work for around 50 days on a full charge.
The XPS 13 2-in-1 has two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports, as well as USB-C-to-USB-A and USB-C-to-3.5 mm adapters. The device does not have a headphone jack and microSD card reader. The 2-in-1 is Dell’s first XPS device with support for 5G connectivity along with eSIM.
Although the device doesn’t have a lot of ports, there’s no skimping when it comes to the camera. The device has a high-res 1080p front-facing 5MP webcam. At the rear, it has a 4K webcam for videos and photos.
