Nintendo has released a new software update for its Switch gaming console, allowing the ability to pair Bluetooth devices for the audio output. The Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite had this feature during their launch, but it was restricted due to some limitations. With the new software update, all the Nintendo Switch models will now be able to take advantage of wireless audio products like earbuds, headphones, and even wireless speakers via Bluetooth.

To connect additional controllers, users will have to disconnect the Bluetooth audio device. Additionally, as per Nintendo, only one Bluetooth audio device can be paired at a time, but you can save up to 10 devices on a Nintendo Switch system. Do note that you won’t be able to use a Bluetooth headphone’s microphone with the Switch and the Switch Lite. That being said, you also might experience audio latency depending on your Bluetooth device.
To add a new Bluetooth device, you will have to head over to System Settings > Bluetooth Audio > Pair Device. You can refer to the screenshot included above if you want to connect the Bluetooth audio device to your Nintendo Switch model.

Nintendo Switch Price In Europe Slashed Ahead of Nintendo Switch OLED Release
In related news, Nintendo also slashed the prices of the previous generation Switch console. The vanilla Nintendo Switch now retails for £259.99 (around ₹26,500), compared to its earlier price tag of £279.99 (around ₹28,600). The company also has reduced the price of the Switch in Europe. Now, the Nintendo Switch cost €299.99 (around ₹26,100) in the European market. The Nintendo Switch used to retail for €329.99 (around ₹28,700).
It is not known whether this price cut will also be applicable to other markets. The price drop on the previous generation Switch console is obvious as the company plans to start selling its newer Nintendo Switch OLED model starting October 8, 2021.
