Back in July, the Nothing Phone (1) was launched in India and other global markets. Two months have passed since the launch, and the brand has already rolled out three updates for the Nothing Phone (1). Now, the brand has started rolling out yet another update for the Phone (1). The latest update for the smartphone comes with the firmware version Nothing OS 1.1.4 and brings with it the latest September security patch.
With the NothingOS 1.1.4 update, the company has also introduced a couple of new features. Let us take a closer look at the features, improvements, and changes that NothingOS 1.1.4 brings to the Nothing Phone (1).

Nothing has completely integrated all the features of the Ear (1) app into the Nothing OS and, as a result, Nothing Phone (1) users can now switch between Noise Cancellation modes and modify gesture controls right from the Quick Setting tiles. The update also brings an option to flip the 3-button navigation bar.

The brand has also improved the colour calibration for the photos shot using the ultra-wide-angle camera.
The company says that it has improved the colour consistency between the primary and ultra-wide-angle sensors. Nothing has also improved the face unlocking algorithm with the latest update. Take a look at the official changelogs below:

Reduced battery consumption for Always On Display and other use cases.

Fixed network issues for certain carriers.
Fixed an issue causing incoming calls to show up as Unknown Contact.

As always, the update might be rolling out in phases, so it may not be available for all Nothing Phone (1) users as of now. We can expect the company to begin a wider rollout in the coming days.
