Nothing is all set to foray into the smartphone segment with the Nothing Phone (1). The Phone (1) is launching on July 12, 2022 in India and other global markets. Recently, the upcoming Nothing Phone (1) made an appearance on the TUV certification website with 33W fast charging support. Alongside, a Nothing power adapter with 45W support and PPS protocol was also spotted. Now, in a new video, YouTuber Gaurav Chaudhary (aka Technical Guruji) has showcased the retail box of the Nothing Phone (1).
Even though Chaudhary didn’t reveal the box contents, the width of the box suggests that the company will not ship a charging adapter in the retail box. Take a look at the video.
The dimensions of the Nothing Phone (1) retail box suggests that the Nothing Phone (1) will not come with an in-box charger. So, Phone (1) buyers will have to buy a compatible charger.
This also implies that Nothing will launch a 45W fast charging adapter separately since the Nothing charging adapter with PPS protocol was recently spotted on the TUV certification site. This might be disappointing for many prospective buyers. However, the exclusion of the charging brick from the retail box will certainly help Nothing in keeping the retail pricing low. Also, it will be interesting to see the pricing of the Nothing charging adapter.
