Nvidia offered a glimpse of its GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card at the CES 2022 in January. Now, it is finally launching the graphics card in the market and will join the others in the RTX 30-series of desktop GPUs. The new GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is an Ampere graphics card and is touted to be more powerful than its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 3090. The RTX 3090 Ti is marketed to perform better for different workloads is not just restricted to gaming.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti: Features, Specifications
The Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti comes with 10752 CUDA cores as opposed to the 10496 CUDA cores of the RTX 3090. The RT cores are now 84 and the Tensor cores are bumped up to 336. The base/boost clock speeds are now 1.67GHz/1.86GHz versus the previous 1.4GHz/1.7GHz. It packs in 24GB of GDDR6X memory, which is the same size as before, but now runs faster at 21Gbps.
The Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti ditches the 12-pin Molex MicroFit 3.0 plug and becomes the first-ever Nvidia GPU to utilise a PCIe Gen5 16-pin power connector. Nvidia says the RTX 3090 Ti has 40 TFLOPS of single precision performance, which is up from the 35 TFLOPS of its predecessor. Gaming performance is expected to be improved by nine percent over the RTX 3090. However, the higher performance comes at the expense of power efficiency, as it now consumes 100 watts more power than the RTX 3090.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti: Price, Availability
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card comes at a starting price of $1,999 (approx. ₹1,51,553) in the US. Those residing in the US can purchase it from Best Buy. The brand hasn’t revealed any plans to launch it in the Indian market.
