OPPO has expanded its A series of smartphones with the launch of the OPPO A55s. The new entry-level 5G smartphone is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 octa-core processor and a dual-camera setup at the rear. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch display with a punch-hole-shaped cutout at the top-left corner to include the selfie camera. The OPPO A55s is priced at JPY 32,800 (roughly ₹21,200) in Japan. The device comes in Green and Black colour variants. The OPPO A55s will be available for purchase in Japan starting November 26, 2021.

The OPPO A55s has a 6.5-inch LCD LTPS display with Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), 405 PPI pixel density, up to 90Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The device is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor, which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the software front, the A55s runs Android 11 out of the box with a layer of ColorOS 11.1 on top. The smartphone could get the ColorOS 12 update sometime next year.
