Smartphone maker Oppo has collaborated with Indian Telco Reliance Jio to conduct 5G standalone and non-standalone network trials in the country. Jio is one of the major telecom network operators in India and has been aggressively broadening its reach in the country. Oppo announced that the 5G trials were successfully concluded on its newly-launched Oppo Reno7 Pro in a demo setup.

The Chinese smartphone maker added that the trials demonstrated that the setup was able to stream 4K videos on the device without any lag. Moreover, the company claimed to observe super-fast upload and download speeds. It added that the Reno7 Pro supports up to 10 bands while the Reno7 supports up to 13 bands that will be able to access the 5G network anywhere in the country.

Last month, Reliance Jio’s 5G speed test results were revealed. Screenshots of the results showed that its 5G network was able to achieve an impressive download speed of 420Mbps and an upload speed of 412 Mbps. However, don’t get your hopes too high, since the actual speed may differ, depending on various factors such as the 5G device you’re using, number of users, and network infrastructure.
Oppo Reno 7 Price In India
The Oppo Reno 7 is priced at ₹28,999 and will be available for purchase starting February 17. On the other hand, the Reno 7 Pro costs ₹39,999 and can be purchased via Flipkart, the Oppo India Online Store and other major offline retail stores.
5G Network Rollout Coming To India
Just this month, we had reported that India is all set to go 5G. Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister of India, had revealed that the 5G spectrum auction will take place in 2022, while the actual rollout may happen by next year.
