The Panasonic LUMIX BS1H is a new box-style camera, which was launched in the US, UK, and Australia in October 2021. It has now finally reached the shores of India after a couple of months. The LUMIX BS1H is a successor to the LUMIX BGH1, which was launched back in 2020. The BGH1 was the company’s first box-styled production camera and quickly became popular, especially in reality TV shows. The LUMIX BS1H takes it a notch higher by incorporating the elements of the full-frame Panasonic LUMIX S1H shooter and packing it in a small, cube-shaped body.
When compared with the S1H, it does miss out on an in-built-in screen, EVF, in-body stabilisation, and grip. On the flip side, these deletions make it much lighter as it weighs just under 600g. This would make it easier to handle on gimbals than the full-frame S1H. Being a box-style camera increases its modularity and comes with ports and accessory-mounting threads to add according to your preference. Panasonic is looking to attract cinema professionals and streamers with its new offering.

Talking about its connectivity features, it comes with an ethernet port that allows you to stream 4K/60p quality via a wired LAN connection.
