Panasonic is trying to widen its appeal by offering better gaming and audio features with its new flagship LZ2000 OLED TV, announced at CES 2022. It will come in 55-inch, 65-inch, as well as, for the first time, a 77-inch size. Panasonic aims to provide an improved version of last year’s JZ2000 with new gaming features, better audio quality, and enhanced brightness.

Real-Time Picture Optimisation and Display Quality
The Panasonic LZ2000 OLED TV comes with advanced sensors to detect the colour temperature of the ambient light. Complemented by Auto AI genre detection, Panasonic promises “nuanced picture optimization” to deliver better picture quality. The company has worked with noted Hollywood colourist Stefan Sonnenfeld in its quest to offer a more colour accurate display.
Additionally, Panasonic claims that its ‘Master OLED Pro’ technology “increases mid-level brightness delivering more pop from HDR and improved accuracy in reproducing details in brighter areas.” Panasonic has always been eager to up its HDR technology. Now, its LZ2000 OLED TV will support a wide gamut of HDR formats such as Dolby Vision IQ, Filmmaker Mode, HDR10+ Adaptive, and HLG Photo.
Next-Gen Gaming Features
Panasonic offers some new features to appease gamers as well with its LZ2000 OLED TV. The Panasonic LZ2000 OLED TV support HDMI 2.1 features such as high frame rate and 120Hz variable refresh rate in full 4K resolution. It also supports automatic NVIDIA GPU detection, improved 60Hz latency, as well as new Game Control Board settings.
The Game Control Board is a new feature, which will arrange game settings and game-related information together and overlay it on the game itself. This will make it more convenient to access relevant information without having to navigate away from the game. It comes with a “my App” button on the remote control that can be programmed to access the Game Control Board.
Directional Sound
The Panasonic LZ2000 OLED TV come with additional features to improve the audio experience. The Panasonic 360° Soundscape features Dolby Atmos-quality speakers. The LZ2000 already has built-in upward-firing and side-firing speakers. Now, it has added a new array of speakers that run the entire length of the TV to deliver an immersive sound experience. Moreover, it comes in three modes—Pinpoint mode for directional sound, Area mode that focuses on a certain area of the room, and Spot mode to boost the volume in one particular spot.
Panasonic LZ2000 OLED TV Availability
Panasonic announced that the LZ2000 OLED TV will be available for purchase in Europe and Asia. Pricing for the Panasonic LZ2000 models isn’t available yet. We can expect the prices to be announced in summer 2022.
