Panasonic has launched the Panasonic Toughbook S1 in India. It is a rugged tablet and runs Android 10 (Android Enterprise) out of the box. The tablet has a 7-inch IPS LCD display with WXGA resolution. The Toughbook S1 has NFC, a barcode scanner, and an IPX5 rating for water resistance. The Panasonic Toughbook S1 is MIL-STD-810H-certified and it has an IPX5 and IP67 rating for water resistance. It has a 7-inch IPS LCD display with WXGA resolution (1,200 x 800 pixels). The company claims that the screen is easily viewable outdoors and it can be used with gloves or an additional passive pen. The Panasonic Toughbook S1 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor (with Adreno 512 GPU), 4GB RAM, and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage.
It features a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. Connectivity features of the tablet include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and one port replicator. The tablet can also be equipped with a barcode scanner or an additional USB port. Dimensions of the tablet are 194x131x22.9mm and it weighs 434g with the standard battery and 514g with the extended battery.

On the software front, the tablet runs the Android 10 (Android Enterprise) version out of the box, which enhances application safety, reliability, and management for businesses. Panasonic is offering users the option to equip the tablet with two batteries (3,200mAh and 5,580mAh). The prior lasts for 8 hours, while the latter is claimed to deliver a 14 hours battery life.
