The POCO M3 is close to a year-old device by now. It was launched with Android 10-based MIUI 12 out of the box and has been getting regular software updates. Following up with that update routine, POCO has started rolling out the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update to the POCO M3 in India.
The update is being rolled out over the air and chances are that you would receive it on your POCO M3 in a day or two. That being said, it’s important to know that the new update still doesn’t bring Android 12. Yes, it is still based on Android 11. The MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update for the POCO M3 comes with firmware version MIUI 12.5.1.0.RJFINXM, and is around 2.6GB in size, so we suggest that you download the update using a Wi-Fi connection or an unmetered and high-speed cellular connection. Furthermore, it’s always advisable to take a backup of your crucial data before tapping the update button. After all, it’s better to be safe than sorry in case of data loss.

Another thing worth noting is that the update is in the ‘Stable Beta’ phase, so it will only be available for select users for now, and it might take a couple of weeks for a wider rollout.
