POCO M5 Spotted On BIS Certification Website, India Launch Imminent

POCO is gearing up for the launch of a new POCO M5 series of smartphones. The upcoming POCO series consists of two smartphones—the POCO M5 and the POCO M5s. Lately, the devices have been visiting several certification authority websites. As per a recent update, the vanilla POCO M5 has been spotted on the Indian BIS certification website, hinting that the smartphone will launch soon in the country.

POCO M5 Listed On BIS Certification Website

Notable tipster Mukul Sharma has recently spotted the POCO M5 with the model number 22071219CI on the BIS certification website. While the listing doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming POCO M5 series, it still means that the device or the entire series could soon make its way to India.

POCO M5 Specifications (Expected)

Based on previous reports, the POCO M5 will be a 4G device. The smartphone is said to come with NFC support. In terms of software, we can expect the M5 to run Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box. Powering the device will reportedly be a MediaTek 4G processor, which could be paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

For photography, the upcoming POCO M5 is expected to offer a 50MP triple rear camera setup and an 8MP selfie snapper. When it comes to the battery, the POCO M5 could come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port. As for the pricing, we can expect the smartphones to be priced between ₹10,000 and ₹13,000, if they reach India.
