Realme 9 5G And Realme 9 5G SE Launching In India On March 10

A couple of weeks ago, Realme launched the Realme 9 Pro and the Realme 9 Pro+ smartphones in the Indian market. Now, the brand is all set to launch two more handsets in the Realme 9 series—the Realme 9 5G and the Realme 9 SE 5G. The upcoming Realme 9 series devices are scheduled to launch in India on March 10.

This morning, a micro-site for the launch event went live on Realme.com confirming the monikers of upcoming devices. It also showcases the back panel of both the handsets—the Realme 9 5G and Realme 9 Speed Edition.

The Realme 9 5G and Realme 9 5G SE will feature a Fluid Light Design. The micro-site also confirms that both the handsets will offer triple-rear camera setups and side-mounted fingerprint scanners. The company has also said that the Realme 9 5G will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, whereas the Realme 9 Speed Edition will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip.

Going by the official renders and processor details, the Realme 9 5G appears to be a toned-down version of the Realme 8s 5G, while the Realme 9 SE might be a rebranded Realme Q3s. To those unaware, the Realme Q3s was launched back in October 2021 in the Chinese market.

Realme Q3s Specifications and Features

The Realme Q3s features a 6.6-inch LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 600nits peak brightness. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC coupled with an Adreno 642L GPU.

The Realme Q3s offers a triple-rear camera setup including a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP B&W lens. For selfies, it offers a 16MP front shooter. It is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and supports 30W fast charging. It measures 164.4 × 75.8 × 8.5mm and weighs 199grams.

Realme 8s 5G Specifications and Features

The Realme 8s 5G flaunts a 6.5-inch LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution, 600nits peak brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it sports a MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor paired with a Mali G57 GPU. The Realme 8s 5G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and supports 33W fast charging.

In terms of cameras, it offers a 64MP primary shooter coupled with a 2MP macro and a 2MP B&W sensor. The handset relies on a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls. It weighs 191grams and measures 162.5 × 74.8 × 8.8mm.

The Realme Q3s and 8s come pre-loaded with Realme UI 2.0, based on Android 11. These devices offer a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack with Hi-res audio.
