Realme Forays Into Home Appliances Space With Its Washing Machine and Air Purifier

Realme has gone all out in its quest to capture the home appliances market in India. Along with the robot vacuum and handheld vacuum cleaner, the Chinese company has also announced its plans to launch an air purifier and a washing machine in India. On the surface, this seems like an impressive leap for a young smartphone brand. However, it really isn’t because Realme’s parent company BBK Electronics has years of experience manufacturing microwave ovens, hairdryers, refrigerators, and even juicers in China. With that out of the way, let’s find out what Realme has in store for Indian consumers with its TechLife Air Purifier and TechLife Washing Machine.

Realme TechLife Air Purifier Features

Realme’s TechLife Air Purifier comes with three-stage H12 HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters. The company claims that the filter removes 99.95% of 0.3-micron particles, which should take care of dust, pollen, hair, and other allergy-inducing particles. As per industry standards, H10 to H12 filters can also trap around 85% to 99.5% of 0.1-micron particles. To put things in perspective, the top-tier H13 and H14 filters block up to 99.995% of these microscopic particles.

The air purifier has a (Clean Air Delivery Rate) CADR of 330m³/h, which according to Realme is enough for a 419 sq. ft. room. It comes with an onboard indicator that informs you about the air quality in real-time. The filters are said to last for up to 1,800 hours of usage. When it is time to swap the filter, the device will notify you with a blinking LED.

Realme TechLife Top Load Washing Machine Features

For its first washing machine, Realme has decided to go with a top load design. The Realme TechLife Top Load Washing Machine has a stainless steel drum wrapped in a plastic body. On the top, you get a tempered glass lid. Its feather touch control panel is rated IPX4 for water resistance. To withstand Indian conditions, the machine comes with a power surge and temperature protection.

The drum is designed in such a way that it offers scrub action for cleaning. Its pulsator has a peak spin of 700 rpm. The company claims that the machine won’t tangle your clothes. Realme has baked in a fuzzy logic wash feature that selects ideal cycle time and water level depending on the fabric type and load. The washing machine offers ten wash programs, including Standard, Mix, Denim, Delicate, and Winter Wear. It does, however, miss out on hot wash.

Realme TechLife Air Purifier, Washing Machine Price In India & Launch Date

The Realme TechLife Air Purifier price in India is ₹6,999 on the launch day. Later, its price will be increased to ₹7,999. The Realme TechLife Top Load Washing Machine price in India starts at ₹12,990 for the 7.5kg version, while the 8kg variant is priced at ₹15,990.

The Realme TechLife Air Purifier and the TechLife Top Load Washing Machine will be available for purchase on October 2.
