Back in July 2019, Xiaomi had launched the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro smartphones in the Indian market. The brand kept launching the Redmi K-series devices in China but didn’t bring most of them to the Indian market. Last year, the brand brought the Redmi K40 series devices to India, however, it was under the Xiaomi branding. Now, Redmi India appears to be gearing up to launch a new K-series device in the Indian market. The brand took to its social media channels to announce the same.
Last week, a report revealed that Xiaomi is planning to launch the Redmi K50i soon in the Indian market. The Redmi K50i moniker doesn’t exist yet in Xiaomi’s portfolio but it might not be a new device after all. If the leaks are to be believed, the Redmi K50i is a rebranded Redmi Note series device. The previous finding by noted Xiaomi tipster Kacper Skrzypek suggests that the Xiaomi K50i is a rebranded Redmi Note 11T Pro which recently made its debut as the POCO X4 GT in global markets.
