Alongside the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, Xiaomi also announced the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition, which is a tweaked version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Compared to the Note 12 Pro+, the Note 12 Discovery Edition supports a whopping 210W fast charging. The Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition offers a 120Hz OLED display and a 200MP camera setup. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor and a 4,300mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition comes in a single configuration—8GB + 256GB and is priced at RMB 2,399 (approx. ₹27,334). It will go on sale alongside the remaining Redmi Note 12 series devices starting October 30, 2022 in China. Xiaomi hasn’t revealed anything about the global and India availability of the device yet.

The Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition comes equipped with a 4,300mAh battery unit and supports a whopping 210W HyperCharge fast charging. The company claims that with the latest charging technology, the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition can charge from 0 to 100% in just nine minutes.

Xiaomi adds that it has used three 100W fast charging chips in a winged layout to maximize the charging speed and reduce heat generation. The handset comes equipped with a 10C dual-cell battery and features an optimized structural design. The brand is using several cutting edge technologies such as MTW, ultra-thin coating, and ultra-low viscosity electrolyte to improve charge and discharge capacity.

The Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition comes in a Midnight Dark colour option and weighs 206.5grams. The remaining specifications of the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition are exactly the same as the Redmi Note 12 Pro+.
