Redmi Announces Smart TV X86 With An 86-inch 4K panel

Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, has unveiled a new Smart TV in the Chinese market along with the Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones. The TV has a huge 86-inch screen with a 4K resolution and is marketed as the Redmi Smart TV X86.

Redmi Smart TV X86 Price

Priced at 5,299 yuan (₹56,900 approx.), the Redmi Smart TV X86 is available in China for now. It is available for pre-order starting today with open sales beginning on October 31, 2022. There is no word on global availability but given that Xiaomi does sell a 75-inch in certain markets, this 86-inch model might debut outside of China as well.

Redmi Smart TV X86 Specifications

The Redmi Smart TV X86 packs an 86-inch panel with a native 4K resolution. The bezels on the TV are razor-thin to provide a cinematic view with a 97.3% ultra-high screen-to-body ratio. Redmi has gone all out with the panel, and it features △E≈3 high colour accuracy, a 1 billion colour True Tone Display, and HDR support right out of the box.

The Smart TV is powered by a quad-core CPU with 2GB Of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The TV gets dual-band Wi-Fi, BT 5.0, two HDMI connections, and USB 3.0 ports. It runs the latest MIUI TV OS with a home intelligent control center. On the audio front, the TV gets a 2 x 10W high-fidelity speaker setup with DTS-HD sound. There is also support for Xiaomi’s AI assistant which can be invoked using the far-field mics.
