After releasing the Android 12 update with One UI 4.0 for the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A72, and the Galaxy A52s a few days back, Samsung has now released the Android 12 update for another mid-range A-series smartphone—the Galaxy A42. The Galaxy A42 has rolled out the Android 12 update in Poland first. We can expect Samsung to release the Android 12 update for the A42 in more European markets in the upcoming few days.

The new software update also brings in the December 2021 security patch for the Galaxy A42. If you are a Galaxy A42 user in Poland, you might have received the Android 12 update. However, if you have not received the update yet, you can head over to Galaxy A42’s Settings » Software update section to manually download and install the update.
The Android 12 update for the A42 brings in the One UI 4.0 with a new user interface and host of features. The update basically includes improved AoD mode, Dark Mode, AR Emoji Stickers, widget picker menu, updated stock apps such as Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard. Samsung has even updated the stock camera app with a new design. Moreover, accessibility features such as Extra Dim is also included in One UI 4.0.
