Samsung Galaxy F12 Android 12 Update With One UI 4.1 Rolling Out In India

The Samsung Galaxy F12 is reportedly getting the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 software update in India. The device was launched by the South Korean smartphone maker in India last year in April. The phone initially ran Android 11-based One UI 3.1 out of the box. The latest update on the device bears the firmware version F127GXXU3BVG1 and brings all the Android 12 goodies that Samsung has baked in its custom One UI 4.1 skin.

Furthermore, the new software update also bumps the Android security patch to June 2022. The new software version brings key changes such as new privacy controls, redesigned interface with a Material You-based colour palette feature, improved dark mode, and thicker sliders for brightness and volume. The Android 12 update for the Galaxy F12 also brings in performance improvements as well as better animations and transitions.

The update will also improve stock apps such as Calendar, My Files, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard on the smartphone. Furthermore, the new software version brings in privacy indicators for the camera and microphone, design improvement for the Device Care section, new editing features, and enhanced stories for the built-in Gallery and Image Editor. In addition to these new features, the update also includes improved accessibility functions.

As mentioned above, the Galaxy F12 made its debut in India last year. It is an entry-level smartphone from Samsung that comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by an Exynos 850 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. It features a 48MP quad-camera setup, an 8MP front-facing camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The device is loaded with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. The phone has a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack, among other features.
