Samsung has launched the all-new Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in India. These new smartwatches were introduced by Samsung in the global market a few days back.

The Galaxy Watch 5 comes in two variants—40mm and 44mm. The former is equipped with a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, while the latter model flaunts a 1.4-inch AMOLED display. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 40mm Bluetooth variant is priced at ₹27,999, while the LTE model retails for ₹32,999. On the other hand, the 44mm Galaxy Watch 5 Bluetooth model costs ₹30,999, while its LTE variant is priced at ₹35,999. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro Bluetooth variant costs ₹35,999, and the same model with LTE connectivity retails for ₹49,999.

The Galaxy Watch 5 40mm model comes in Graphite, Pink Gold, and Silver colour options, while the 44mm variant is available in Graphite, Sapphire, and Silver colourways. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro can be purchased in Black Titanium and Gray Titanium colour options. The Galaxy Watch 5 series will be available for order in India through Samsung.com and across leading online and offline retail stores starting from August 16, 2022. The sale of the smartwatches will commence from August 26.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 comes with a 1.12/1.4-inch AMOLED display. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro also sports a 1.14-inch AMOLED display and supports Always-On-Display. Powering these new smartwatches is Samsung’s in-house Exynos W920 SoC. On the software front, the Galaxy Watch 5 series runs One UI 4.5 which is based on WearOS 3.0.

These new smartwatches also have a 5ATM + IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and are compatible with the MIL-STD-810G standard. Furthermore, they are equipped with a 3-in-1 BioActive sensor which uses a single chip that can track heart rate, blood oxygen level, and stress levels. The Galaxy Watch 5 40mm model packs a 284mAh battery while the 44mm variant is loaded with a 410mAh battery unit. The latter variant is expected to offer 80 hours of use on a single charge.
