Samsung has finally unveiled its latest clamshell foldable smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. The smartphone was launched at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event, alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series. The newly launched Galaxy Z Flip 4 features a 6.7-inch main display, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 3,700mAh battery, among other features. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Price In India, Availability

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is being offered in three configurations: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 512GB storage. The base variant is priced at $999. However, the price of the other two variants is still under wraps. Samsung has also not announced the pricing details of the smartphone for the Indian market. We will hopefully get those details by the end of this week. The phone is available for pre-reservation in India from Samsung’s official online store, Amazon, Flipkart, and authorised retailers across the country.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Features, Specifications

The primary display of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is a 6.7-inch unit with Full HD+ resolution (2,640×1,080 pixels). It has a 120Hz refresh rate and the panel can dial it down to as low as 1Hz to conserve energy when you are looking at static content. Samsung calls the display on the Z Flip 4 the Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex. Yeah, that is a mouthful. As for the cover display, the smartphone sports a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED panel that offers 512×260 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Powering the device is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The phone is available with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of software, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will ship with Android 12-based OneUI 4.1.1 out of the box.

For photography, the new Samsung foldable offers a dual-rear camera setup at the rear. The primary camera has a 12MP resolution and 83-degree FOV. It is equipped with dual-pixel PDAF and optical image stabilisation (OIS). The second camera at the rear is a 12MP ultra-wide angle unit with a 123-degree wide field of view. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone relies on a 10MP front camera with an 80-degree FOV. The camera also supports up to 4K video recording at 60fps.

Coming to the battery of the device, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a total battery capacity of 3,700mAh, which is split between two battery packs. The phone support 25W fast charging. The brand claims that it can charge an empty battery to 50% in 30 minutes. There is also support for 15W Qi wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. In terms of security, you get a fingerprint sensor embedded into the capacitive power button of the smartphone.

In terms of connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 offers 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The device comes equipped with stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos technology. Plus, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has an IPX8 rating for water resistance.
