Samsung Starts Rolling Out Third One UI 4.0 Beta Update To Galaxy S21 Series In China, Europe, India, USA, UK

Samsung has started rolling out the third beta One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy S21 series in South Korea. The company has published the changelog of the new software update on its official community forum. As per that information, the One UI 4.0 Beta 3 update removes ads in various stock apps, revamps the Weather app, and improves animations. Furthermore, the update also addresses some issues related to Bixby and Samsung Keyboard. Additionally, the new software brings in a couple of improvements and additions compared to the previous build.

Samsung One UI 4.0 Beta 3 Update Released In South Korea

The One UI 4.0 Beta 3 update (with firmware version G99xBXXU3ZUJG for India) is based on Google’s final AOSP release for Android 12. This means that Samsung could soon release the stable version of One UI 4.0, starting with the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The changelog states it has improved the Material You-like colour theming system that was introduced in the second beta build of One UI 4.0 update. It means that you can also apply the Material You theme to stock app icons as you can see in the image gallery below.

The new version of the Samsung Weather app that comes with this update has a revamped UI design and cute animations. It also lacks advertisements. The new update also fixes issues related to the system UI which was forced shutdown in some scenarios. As mentioned earlier, Samsung also has addressed some issues related to the Bixby and Samsung Keyboard.

The One UI 4.0 Beta 3 update is now being pushed to Galaxy S21 (Review) in China, Europe, India, South Korea, the UK, and the US. For the Indian market, the new firmware version of the One UI 4.0 Beta 3 update is G99xBXXU3ZUJG and the update file size is over 975MB. The update comes with the November 2021 security patch as well.
