Samsung is all set to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 globally on August 10, 2022. Both foldables are available for pre-booking in India. There have been several leaks popping up on internet revealing the key specifications and the renders of the upcoming Samsung foldable smartphones. While we are expecting to receive more intel on the devices, a new report suggests nothing but a possibility that the brand might adopt simpler names for its upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphones. Let us take a look at what the new monikers for the Samsung foldables might sound like.

Hence, the upcoming models would simply be called the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Flip 4. There is no information as to why the brand would take such a decision. However, there are rumours suggesting that it could be because the letter ‘Z’ has become a symbol of war for Russia. For those unaware, the moniker ‘Z’ was introduced with the OG Samsung Galaxy Flip smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is said to feature a 7.6-inch QXGA+ primary and a 6.2-inch HD+ cover display. Both displays will be AMOLED panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the smartphone will reportedly be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which will come paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to feature a triple-rear 50MP+12MP+12MP camera setup and a 10MP selfie snapper. The upcoming Samsung foldable will be backed by a 4,400mAh battery unit, which might support 25W fast charging.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will reportedly come with a 6.7-inch primary display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. As for the cover display, the device will feature a 2.1-inch HD+ panel. The smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. In terms of imaging, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will offer a 12MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 10MP front camera. Powering the smartphone will be a 3,700mAh battery with support for 25W or 15W fast charging.
