Samsung WindFree ACs With PM 1.0 Filters, Premium Design Launched In India

It’s that time of the year again, summer’s knocking at the door and air conditioner manufacturers are showcasing their latest products. South Korean electronics giant Samsung has introduced its new range of WindFree airconditioners to lure Indian buyers. These air conditioners offer silent operation, PM 1.0 filters, Freeze Wash, AI auto cooling, motion detection sensors, voice control, and more.

The Samsung WindFree air conditioner boasts of a unique design with 23,000 micro holes on its front panel. Compared to a conventional air conditioner which throws air directly through the vents, Samsung WindFree ACs disperses cool air via these 23,000 holes at a speed of 0.15 m/s. This mode would be useful once the desired temperature is achieved. Also, it promises a silent operation with just 21dB of sound. Samsung claims it can cover a wider area while being 77 percent more power-efficient. 

The AC comes with a PM 1.0 filter that is claimed to protect from 99 percent of bacteria. It utilises an electrostatic precipitator for sterilisation. The brand says the PM 1.0 filter cleans two times faster than a conventional PM 2.5 filter.  

Samsung WindFree ACs come with a convertible function, which allows you to choose from five convertible modes. The performance of the air conditioner can be set from 40 percent capacity to 120 percent capacity. The Home Alone mode functions at 40 percent, Eco Mode at 60 percent, Pleasant mode at 80 percent, Normal at 100 percent, and finally, the Party mode at 120 percent. The 5-star Digital Inverter technology further enhances to save up to 41 percent energy.  

The air conditioners get motion detection sensors on board, which activates its energy-saving mode if there’s no movement in the room for 20 minutes. When it detects any activity it resumes its normal functions again.

The Freeze Wash feature freezes the Heat Exchanger and then defrosts the ice to remove the accumulated dirt with a push of a button. It also dries any moisture left on the system. 

Other notable features of the Samsung WindFree air conditioner includes the use of a copper condenser, anti-corrosion coated fins, 4-way swing, eco-friendly R32 gas, voltage fluctuation protector, Smart AI cooling, voice control, among others.

Samsung will be offering its WindFree air conditioners in 28 models and prices will start from ₹50,990 and go up to ₹99,990. You will get an express 4-hour installation service with it. The brand offers a 5-year comprehensive warranty and a 10-year warranty on its compressor. You can avail offers of 12.5 percent cashback of up to ₹7,500 with these products. These air conditioners can be purchased from Samsung’s website or via offline retailers across India.
