Sony debuted three new smartphones at an event held on May 11—the Xperia 1 IV, Xperia 10 IV and Xperia Ace III. The Ace III is Sony’s cheapest 5G smartphone and is currently only available for pre-order in Japan.
The Xperia Ace III features a Snapdragon 480 chipset, 4GB RAM, a 4,500mAh battery, and a 13MP primary rear camera. Let’s take a closer look at the new Sony Xperia Ace III, specifications, features, pricing, and availability.
Sony Xperia Ace III Price, Availability
Currently, the Sony Xperia Ace III is only available for pre-order in Japan, and it will be ready for purchase in mid-June. The handset is available in a single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration, priced at JPY 34,408 (which translates to about ₹20,500). Colour options include black, blue, brick orange, and grey.

The newly arrived Sony Xperia Ace IIIsports a 5.5-inch display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1496 pixels, and a waterdrop notch design. The screen is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus.
In terms of imaging, Sony’s newest smartphone has a single camera on the back, which is a 13MP shooter and is paired with an LED flash. On the front, Sony has opted for a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. The phone measures 69x140x8.9mm in dimensions and weighs 162 grams.
Under the hood, the Xperia Ace III is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Users get the ability to expand the internal memory via a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 12 OS out of the box.
The Xperia Ace III draws power from a 4,500mAh battery that supports USB power delivery and rapid charging. Other features of the smartphone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, an LDAC codec that enables listening to high-resolution audio, IP6X dustproof and IPX5/IPX8 water resistance rating. Connectivity options on the Xperia handset include 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and USB-C port.
