Tecno Phantom X2 With Dimensity 9000 Processor, Phantom X2 Pro With Retractable Portrait Lens Launched: Price, Specs

Tecno has unveiled two new smartphones under its premium Phantom series—the Tecno Phantom X2 and the Phantom X2 Pro. Both the newly launched Tecno smartphones are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. The Pro model of the series is claimed to be the first to feature a retractable portrait camera. Let us take a closer look at the pricing, specifications, and features of the newly launched Tecno Phantom X2 and the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro smartphones.

Tecno Phantom X2, Tecno Phantom X2 Pro Pricing And Availability

In Saudi Arabia, the Tecno Phantom X2 is priced at SAR 2,700 (roughly ₹59,000). On the other hand, the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro costs SAR 3,500 (roughly ₹76,700). As for the colour variants, the Phantom X2 Pro comes in Mars Orange and Stardust Grey colour options. The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro is available in Moonlight Silver and Stardust Grey shades. Both smartphones will go on sale in the coming weeks.

Tecno Phantom X2 Features, Specifications

In terms of specifications, the Tecno Phantom X2 features a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The smartphone comes equipped with a Dimensity 9000 processor, which is paired with an 8GB of LPDDRX RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, the Phantom X2 boots Android-12 based HiOS 12 out of the box.

For photography, the smartphone offers a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide angle camera with a macro mode, and a 2MP depth sensor. The device features a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calling. Speaking of the battery, the Tecno Phantom X2 is powered by a 5,160mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.

As said earlier, the Tecno Phantom Pro is said to feature the world’s first Retractable Portrait lens. The lens have a very bright f/1.5 aperture, which allows more light to reach the main sensor. A wide aperture and a large sensor hence creates a shallower depth of field and a natural bokeh. The portrait lens on the smartphone is long enough to be used as a telephoto lens with 2.5x zoom.

The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro features a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide angle camera, which also doubles as a macro camera. Similar to the X2 model, it has a 32MP front camera for video calling and selfies. In terms of display, the device offers a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the smartphone is a Dimensity 9000 processor, which is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Speaking of the battery, the Phantom X2 Pro is backed by a 5,160mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. The phone boots Android 12-based HiOS 12 out of the box.
