vivo launched its first-ever Android tablet—the vivo Pad in China. The device comes with the new OriginOS HD, which will be the first time it is gracing the tablet. The Origin OS was first introduced back in 2020 as a replacement to the Funtouch OS for vivo and iQOO devices in China.
The company took to Weibo to show off its latest OS—the OriginOS HD. It has adapted its existing Origin OS for the vivo Pad’s larger 11-inch display, resulting in the ‘OriginOS HD’. The brand’s latest OS features split-screen for multitasking and can sync with your smartphone via NFC.

Vivo OriginOS HD Features
When it comes to synchronization, the vivo Pad has built-in NFC tags for “one-touch mutual transmission”. This will allow you to seamlessly sync your smartphone with the tablet.
vivo’s OriginOS HD offers a multitasking feature called the “Quantum Suite”. It integrates atomic notes, calendars and atomic reading on the PC. Moreover, whatever changes you make on linked tablets, smartphones, and PCs will be automatically synchronized across devices. The latest OS also allows web pages to communicate with each other.
The tablet comes with a multi-window function which supports over 4,000 applications. It will let you play games at 90/120Hz frame rate and watch movies at 4K.
The vivo Pad comes with updated atomic notes, which now features handwriting-specific optimizations. The brand claims that the update offers “off-screen shorthand, can generate standard graphics with one stroke, drawing straight lines and ellipses is more accurate, and handwritten content is converted to text in minutes”.
Additionally, the vivo Pad comes with new recording notes which can convert text in real-time. The brand claims that this doubles the efficiency.
