Vivo is reportedly gearing up to launch a new foldable smartphone, dubbed the Vivo X Fold S. The smartphone is expected to arrive as an upgraded version of the Vivo X Fold, which was launched back in April 2022. The X Fold was introduced as the company’s first-ever foldable and will reportedly be succeeded by the upcoming Vivo X Fold S.
The launch timeline of the device was recently tipped online. Now, a new leak has popped up revealing the upgraded specifications of the Vivo X Fold S. Let us take a look at the details.
Vivo X Fold S Specifications (Expected)
According to a report by tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X Fold S will come equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, while the X Fold is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The tipster further states that the upcoming Vivo foldable will be backed by a 4,700mAh battery compared to a 4,600mAh unit on its predecessor. The X Fold S is expected to come with an 80W wired charging support, whereas the X Fold features a 66W wired charging support. The rest of the specifications will remain the same as that of the Vivo X Fold.

The leakster had previously tipped that the upcoming Vivo foldable smartphone will arrive in September this year. The smartphone is said to feature an 8.03-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, we can expect the device to offer a quad-camera unit with a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 12MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP periscope telephoto lens. The Vivo X fold S might also feature a 16MP selfie snapper.
