Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has launched the Vivo Y16 smartphone in Hong Kong. The newly launched Vivo Y16 is a 4G smartphone that comes with a 6.51-inch HD+ display. The device is powered by a Helio P35 SoC which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone is also tipped to launch in India soon as it was recently spotted on India’s BIS certification site with model number V2204. Vivo is yet to reveal the pricing and availability of the Vivo Y16 4G. At the time of writing, the company had only announced the specifications of the device. The Vivo Y16 4G comes with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with a HD+ resolution. The display panel has a water-drop-shaped notch for the selfie camera and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with an octa-core Helio P35 chipset.
The device packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the phone has microSD card support for storage expansion beyond 64GB. When it comes to imaging, the smartphone features a dual-camera setup. The camera module includes a 13MP main camera and a 2MP secondary lens. Selfies are handled by a 5MP camera with a f/2.2 aperture. The camera supports multiple camera modes such as Panorama, Face Beauty, Photo, Video, Live Photo, Time-Lapse, Pro, and Documents.

The handset is loaded with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging via a USB Type-C port. The phone runs Android 12 out of the box with a layer of FuntouchOS 12 on top. In terms of connectivity, the device offers features such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, OTG support, and FM Radio.
The device measures 163.95×75.55×8.19mm and weighs 183 grams. The smartphone comes in two colour options—Stellar Black and Drizzling Gold.
