Vivo had launched the Vivo Y21 back in August this year. The smartphone maker is now set to launch a mid-year refresh of the phone in the form of the Vivo Y21T. The mid-range smartphone will debut in India on January 3, 2022. We now have exclusive access to the Vivo Y21T marketing poster that reveals all its specifications, courtesy of tipster Yogesh Brar.
Let us take a closer look at the Vivo Y21T specifications and features.
Vivo Y21T Specifications
Going by the leaked Vivo Y21T specifications, it appears that the smartphone is eerily similar to the Vivo Y21s, barring the chipset. It will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, whereas its predecessor, the Vivo Y21s, shipped with the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. The Snapdragon 680 chipset has the Adreno 610 GPU.
The phone also packs 4GB of RAM, which can be further supplemented with a gigabyte of ‘Extended RAM’. That’s marketing-speak for borrowing some of the slower onboard flash storage to virtualise it as RAM. It has 128GB internal storage which can be expanded by up to an additional 1TB via a microSD card.
The Vivo Y21T will have a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution (2,408 x 1,080 pixels), a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio. The phone will be available in two colours: Midnight Blue and Pearl White.
When it comes to cameras, the smartphone will feature a triple-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor bearing an aperture of F1.8. It will be accompanied by a 2MP macro camera with an F2.4 aperture and a 2MP bokeh camera with the same aperture.
The leaked poster indicates that the primary camera will support Super Night Mode as well as Super HDR. The 8MP front-facing camera will feature a ‘Multi Style Portrait’ feature that adds fun filters to your selfies. It also has the ‘Super Night Selfie’ feature that supposedly lets you take good selfies even in low-light conditions.
The Vivo Y21T will run FunTouchOS 12 out of the box, but it will be based on Android 11. That’s a disappointment as it has been a few months since the stable version of Android 12 was released. The handset is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
When it comes to connectivity features, the Vivo Y21T support 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. The phone measures 164 x 76 x 8mm and weighs 182g.
Vivo Y21T Price In India
The Vivo Y21T price in India will be ₹16,490 as per an earlier leak. The upcoming phone will compete with the likes of the Realme 8 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T 5G. The smartphone will most likely be available in both offline and online stores.
