Vivo has silently launched a new Y-series smartphone—Vivo Y50t—in China. It is a 4G smartphone that comes powered by the Snapdragon 720G processor. The device flaunts a punch-hole-shaped display cutout that houses the selfie camera. The smartphone has a triple-camera setup at the rear, 4GB Virtual RAM, and a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The Vivo Y50t is priced at CNY 1,399 (around ₹16,300) in China. The device comes in black and blue-coloured variants. The smartphone is available in China for purchase via Vivo’s official website, third-party e-commerce portals, and retail outlets. Vivo has not announced details regarding the global availability of the new smartphone.

The Vivo Y50t comes has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution (2,480 x 1,080 pixels), a standard 60Hz refresh rate, and a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio. The screen has a punch-hole-shaped cutout to includes the selfie camera. The Vivo Y50t is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. The smartphone packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device also has 4GB of Virtual RAM.

The punch-hole cutout houses the 8MP selfie camera. On the back of the smartphone, there is a triple-camera setup that consists of a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The rear-facing camera module is accompanied by an LED flash. For enhanced security, the handset has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that is embedded into the power button. Apart from the fingerprint sensor, the device also has a face unlock feature.

The Vivo Y50t is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The other key specifications of the Vivo Y50t include a dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The device runs Android 11 out of the box with OriginOS 1.0 on top.
