Google entered the world of VPNs a little while ago, but its VPN was so far limited to its own Android ecosystem. This has finally changed, as VPN by Google One has finally been made available on iOS devices as well. The VPN aims to “bring peace of mind to iOS users”, according to Google. As far as availability is concerned, the VPN by Google One is available for Google One subscribers on Premium plans (2TB above) through the Google One app and, now, iOS.

It does not mean that all five members have to be using the iOS platform, as the sharing is platform independent. Furthermore, the VPN is now available in 10 more countries—Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland. Google has promised further expansion “over time”.
Today, we’re beginning to roll out the VPN to iOS devices. Similar to Android, the VPN will be available to Google One members on Premium plans (2 TB and higher) through the Google One app on iOS. Plus, members can share their plan and the VPN with up to five family members at no extra cost, so they can all use the VPN, no matter whether they’re using an Android or iOS phone.
