Back in August 2021, WhatsApp enabled the transfer of chat history from iPhone devices to Samsung Galaxy Z series devices. The feature was later enabled for Pixel devices in October. But so far, there has been no support for the migration of chat history from Android to iOS. However, things finally appear to be changing soon, as a new report suggests that WhatsApp may soon allow users to transfer their chat history from Android to iOS devices. This might solve a lot of trouble for those who intend to switch from an Android device to an iOS device and find it rather inconvenient to migrate their WhatsApp chat history.

In the past, the same source revealed that in order to transfer chat history from Android to iOS, the Move to iOS app would be required. It is rather unclear as of now whether the same will be needed with this new update. Sadly enough, the feature is not available as of now, so nothing can be said for sure yet. We can expect the update to roll out soon and once it does, users will finally be able to transfer their chat history from Android to iOS devices.
