WhatsApp is finally going to add the much-awaited true multi-device support for the app. The feature has currently been rolled out to the beta users, and some testers have already got access to the new WhatsApp Companion Mode. WhatsApp Companion Mode essentially allows users to link a new device with the same account as on their existing smartphone. What it means is that you can now use the same WhatsApp account with the same phone number on two devices, at the same time.

With the latest beta update (build number 2.22.24.18), WhatsApp has started rolling out a new mode, dubbed Companion Mode, to users, which allows them to add a new phone as a secondary device.
Once you link the new phone with the WhatsApp account, the chats will automatically be synced across both devices. That said, there are features like live location, broadcasts, and stickers, which might not sync, at least not for now. If you want to link more devices, there is an upper limit of four devices which can be linked at once.
The feature is currently available to those using the beta version of WhatsApp, but we might soon get to see the feature make its way to the stable version as well.
