WhatsApp version 2.22.16.8 beta now allows users to enable disappearing messages for existing chats. This means that beta users will be able to apply a default message timer to older chats, which will automatically get deleted after the specified duration. Previously, this feature was only available for new chats.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is rolling out a new shortcut under the default message timer. This will be visible to select beta testers who have received the WhatsApp beta 2.22.16.8 update.
