WhatsApp has finally released a new update which doubles the number of participants you can have in one chat. While the instant messaging app had previously limited the number of group participants to 256, it now allows you to add 512 people in the same group chat. The feature is currently rolling out to all WhatsApp users via the latest version of the app available on Android and iOS platforms.
Now You Can Add 512 Members To Your WhatsApp Group Chat
According to a WABetaInfo report, you will now be able to include 512 people in one chat through the latest WhatsApp version available for Android and iOS. Once installed, the latest update will automatically change the participant limit. However, you can create a new Group, selecting a single participant from your contact list and check what it says about adding more members.

While a group of 512 people may be difficult to keep up with on a messaging platform, it will definitely prove useful to organizations that use WhatsApp for their day-to-day communication with large numbers of employees. Furthermore, WhatsApp is reportedly working on Google Drive exports of your backup data. It is also introducing tweaks to the status feature of the app to let you change it more easily and quickly.
