For quite some time now, WhatsApp Message Reactions has been a feature that many users have been requesting. It looks like the company has finally heard the feedback, as it has officially rolled out the Message Reactions feature to all users worldwide in both stable and beta builds. WhatsApp has been testing the feature within a small group of beta testers for long and has finally made it available to all users across various platforms.
Additionally, WhatsApp has also upgraded the file sharing size limit for the platform and now users will be able to share up to 2GB of data files on the platform.
WhatsApp Message Reactions, 2GB File Sharing Feature Announced
On Thursday, WhatsApp announced a host of new features for its users, the most notable being the WhatsApp Message Reactions feature. Reacting to messages has been a pretty standard affair for various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and even Twitter, but so far, users of WhatsApp had been deprived of the same. For now, WhatsApp supports six emojis as reactions, but we can expect more reaction emojis to be added soon.
The Message Reactions feature, as mentioned earlier, has started rolling out worldwide and chances are that you will receive the feature in the coming days. To use WhatsApp Message Reactions, you can simply tap and hold on a message in a private or a group conversation and choose the preferred emoji.

Furthermore, WhatsApp has increased the file sharing limit to 2GB. This is a significant jump, as the app only allowed file sharing up to 100MB before the update. Additionally, the default size limit of group chats, which was 256 members earlier, has now been increased to 512 members.
