Back in May, WhatsApp introduced the message reactions feature. However, it was limited to six emojis—👍, ❤️, 😂, 😮, 😢, and 🙏. Now, the messaging platform is preparing to roll out support for all emojis for message reactions.
According to WABetaInfo, this new feature is already being released to select beta testers with WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.15.6, 2.22.15.7, and WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.14.0.71. You can check if your app has the new emojis by simply long-pressing a message to react to it—if you see a new plus icon within the reaction tray, that means you will be able to react with any emoji. iOS users can verify if they have a draggable section which will allow them to select and search for any emoji.

Emoji reactions offer a convenient way of replying to messages instead of having to type a reply. It also makes group chats less annoying, since participants can simply react to a text. With support for more emojis rolling in, messaging on WhatsApp is set to become more convenient.
The popular messaging app is bringing more features besides emoji reactions for beta testers. WABetaInfo says that WhatsApp is bringing improvements to the Windows beta app. The company will be redesigning the context menu for beta users. That’s not all, WhatsApp beta for Android (version 2.22.15.8) gets a new “delete for everyone” time limit of 2 days and 12 hours. Earlier, the time limit was 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds.
