Xbox Series S Gaming Console Available At Discounted Price In India: Specifications

Flipkart is now offering Microsoft’s Xbox Series S gaming console at a discounted price. The Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X were launched back in 2020 and were priced at ₹34,990 and ₹49,990 respectively. The more affordable variant of the two is getting a discount of ₹3,000, bringing the price down to ₹31,990. The Xbox Series S features an octa-core processor, NVMe SSD storage, HDMI 2.1 port, ray-tracing, and HDR support, among other features. 

Xbox Series S: Features, Specifications

The Xbox Series S was launched as a successor to the Xbox One S and has an identical design and paint job. It is powered by a 3.6GHz octa-core CPU based on AMD’s Zen 2 architecture built on the 7nm fabrication process. The processor is coupled with a custom GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture. 

The gaming console is equipped with 10GB of GDDR6 VRAM that is split into 8GB RAM with 224GB/s memory bandwidth and 2GB RAM with 56GB/s memory bandwidth. It comes with 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD storage with a data transfer speed of 2.4GB/s in uncompressed mode and 4.8GB/s in compressed mode. The console supports external hard drives and Seagate’s storage expansion cards up to 2TB. 

The Xbox Series S can run games at a QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) at a maximum of 120 fps. You can play HDR games, stream HDR content, and even upscale games to 4K resolution. Connectivity features include two USB 3.2 Type-A ports (Rear), one USB 3.2 Type-A port (Front), an optical audio port, HDMI 2.1 port, and an Ethernet port. It runs on Xbox UI based on Windows 10 operating system.
