Xiaomi has launched its Beard Trimmer 2 in India. It is the successor to the original Mi Beard Trimmer barring the ‘Mi’ tag, as is the case with the company’s other products after its decision to drop the ‘Mi’ branding. The original Mi Beard Trimmer was launched in 2019 and the Beard Trimmer 2 brings some feature updates while retaining some major aspects of its predecessor. It also competes with beard trimmers from rival Chinese brand Realme.

Xiaomi Beard Trimmer 2 Specifications

The Xiaomi Beard Trimmer 2 comes with an improved design and ergonomics to allow for better usability. It comes with a durable matte back paint job and an IPX7 rating, which allows trouble-free operation while in a shower. The trimmer uses rounded stainless steel blades, which promises a skin-friendly experience. Furthermore, the trimmer features ultra-precise self-sharpening blades and it comes with 40 length settings, which can be operated by a rotary dial. The supplied two comb attachments provide precision trimming of 0.5mm to 20mm, depending on the user’s requirement. The blades provide up to 6,000 movements per minute, ensuring precise cutting of the most stubborn hair.

Moving onto what it offers over its predecessor, it now comes with a USB Type-C charging port which allows corded usage if the trimmer runs out of juice. The second update comes in the form of an LED display which shows accurate battery information as opposed to the three led blinkers previously. It is powered by a 700mAh battery, which is 100mAh less than the Mi Beard Trimmer, still promises similar 90 minutes of usage on a single charge. A quick 5-minute charge can offer up to 12 minutes of usage, while it could take up to 2 hours to get fully charged according to the company. Pressing the ‘Travel Lock’ icon on the display ensures it doesn’t damage your valuables while travelling.

The Xiaomi Beard Trimmer 2 price in India is ₹1,999. There is special pricing of ₹1,799 for initial customers. For folks who don’t fancy the updates, the older model is still available for grabs for ₹1,499. Both models are available for purchase on Amazon.in, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
