Xiaomi has confirmed the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 launch date earlier today via its official Weibo handle. As per the teaser shared by the Chinese smartphone maker, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will launch in China on August 11, 2022. The newly confirmed release date was already revealed by popular leakster Ice Universe just yesterday.
The all-new Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will succeed the Xiaomi Mix Fold which was released last year. Some of the specifications of the upcoming Mix Fold 2 have already been revealed, thanks to multiple leaks. Let us check out what the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will offer.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 Specifications (Expected)
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is reported to come powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The device will pack 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB or 1TB of internal storage. The smartphone will offer up to 56W fast charging support. A new leak suggests that the external display on the device will use Samsung’s E5 panel, while the inner screen is claimed to flaunt the new Eco2 OLED display. The device is said to offer a 1,080 x 2,520p pixel resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Furthermore, some rumours suggest that the device will feature a 50MP main camera at the back. The smartphone is also expected to offer Dolby Atmos support. We will get to know more details about the handset in the next couple of days.
As mentioned above, this new offering from Xiaomi will be succeeding the Mix Fold which was released last year. The Xiaomi Mix Fold features an 8.01-inch display that has an 1860 x 2480 pixels resolution and 650 nits brightness. The outer display on the device is of 6.52-inches and it also offers the same 650 nits brightness and 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 888 5G processor and it features a 108MP triple-camera setup. Other key features include a 20MP selfie camera, 5,020mAh battery, and 67W fast charging support.
