Apple launched the iPad Pro 2021 models powered by the Apple M1 chip back in April 2021. To those unaware, Apple sells the iPad Pro in two variants—11-inch and 12.9-inch. Now, a new report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that the next iteration of the iPad Pro will arrive in September or October this year.
Alongside these claims, Gurman also states that the upcoming iPad Pro tablets will be powered by the Apple M2 chip. The brand announced its M2 chip recently at WWDC and it powers the latest MacBook Air 2022 and MacBook Pro 2022. Let us take a closer look at what the iPad Pro 2022 models might have in store for us.
Apple iPad Pro 2022 Will Bring Wireless Charging to iPads
Gurman, in the latest version of his PowerOn newsletter, claims that the upcoming iPad Pro 2022 models will support wireless charging. This means that Apple will join the list of a few brands which offer wireless charging on tablets. To those unaware, as of now, Huawei and Amazon offer wireless charging on some of their tablet models.

However, he didn’t share specific details on these upgrades. We can expect Apple to launch the iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch models, powered by Apple M2 chip, later this year.

There is also a rumour of an iPad Pro model with 14.1-inch display size, but we may not see it this year. The 14.1-inch iPad Pro is said to come with a Mini-LED ProMotion display and is said to launch sometime in 2023.
