Alongside the Apple M1 Ultra, Apple Mac Studio, Apple iPhone SE 2022, and the Apple iPad Air 2022, Apple also announced the Apple Studio Display. It is a more affordable version of the Apple Pro Display XDR that was launched last year. It still carries an eye-watering price tag of ₹1,59,900 in India.
The Apple Studio Display is a 27-inch monitor with an IPS LCD display and a 5K resolution. It even features a six-speaker sound system and a 12MP ultrawide webcam.
Apple Studio Display Specifications, Features
The Apple Studio Display has a 27-inch IPS LCD display with 5K resolution (14.7 million pixels) and 600 nits peak brightness. It supports the DCI-P3 colour gamut and can display up to 1.07 billion colours. It even features a colour temperature sensor for True Tone so that it can automatically adjust the display’s colour temperature based on the surroundings.
The monitor’s screen is glossy, but Apple is offering an optional nano-texture glass feature that reduces glare, but it costs extra. The default stand that ships with the Apple Studio Display supports up to 30-degree tilt, but the company is also offering an option height-adjustable stand. Apple is also selling an optional VESA mount adapter that supports landscape and portrait orientation.
The Apple Studio Display features a six-speaker system that features four force-cancelling woofers and two tweeters for clear and deep sound. It even features Dolby Atmos and Spatial Sound. The monitor even features three high dynamic range microphones for clear audio during voice calls.
Speaking of voice calls, the monitor features a 12MP ultrawide webcam that supports Apple’s Centre Stage feature that automatically keeps the subject in the frame even when they move.
Connectivity features of the Apple Studio Display include three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C (10Gbps) ports and one Thunderbolt 4 port. The Thunderbolt 4 port can be used to connect to a compatible Mac or laptop and charge it at the same time at 96W.
Apple Studio Display Price In India, Launch Date
The Apple Studio Display price in India is ₹1,59,900 and it will be available in the country starting March 18, 2022, through Apple’s online store.
